COMIDA Board Committees

Ann L. Burr

Appointed June 14, 2005

Ann L. Burr currently serves as President, Northeast Region of Frontier Communications in Rochester, New York. She is also Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Citizens Communications, parent of Frontier, for its national advocacy and government affairs programs in 23 states, affecting Citizens' 2.3 million customers.

Ann is a trustee of Rochester Institute of Technology and serves on the Endowment, Finance and Government Relations Committees. She also is a trustee for the George Eastman House and WXXI. She has served on Monroe County’s Blue Ribbon Financial Commission and the Monroe County Budget Advisory Committee.

Ann holds a BA from Utah State University and an MBA from Chaminade University of Honolulu.

Ann is Chair & Treasurer of COMIDA, a member of the Finance commitee and Chair of the Audit committee.

Jay Popli

Appointed June 11, 2013

Jay is the Executive Vice President – Popli Design Group, a multi-disciplined Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying firm headquartered in Penfield New York. Prior to joining the Popli Design Group in 2010, Jay was a senior executive at Hygeia Therapeutics, Sepracor Inc. and Novartis Consumer Health.

Jay is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the MCC Foundation and the Rochester Angel Network.

Jay holds a BS from the University of Rochester, a Masters of Engineering from RIT and an MBA from William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester.

Jay is Vice Chair and

Secretary of the Board of COMIDA, chair of the Governance Committee and a member of the PILOT Compliance Review committee.

Mary Worboys-Turner

Appointed June 10, 2014

Mary A. Worboys-Turner has devoted more than 30 years to education and not-for-profit organizations.

Mary is currently acting CEO of OT Creations LTD, a board member of the PUC Achieve Charter School, The College of Brockport Foundation, Roberts Wesleyan college, Rochester Area Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Rochester Women's Leadership Council and Rochester Rotary Charitable Trusts.

Mary has a BS from Ashland University and an MS from Northern Illinois University.

Mary is a member of the COMIDA Finance Committee.

Peter Buckley

Appointed June 14, 2016

Pete Buckley currently serves as a Project Executive at DGA Builders, LLC. in Pittsford, New York. He manages a diverse team of construction professionals who represent the interests of public/municipal clients during large and complex capital projects. Pete has over 30 years of experience and has completed more than $1 billion in high profile public projects.

Pete is a board member of the Monroe #1 BOCES Foundation. In the past he has served on the Mary Cariola Facilities Committee and the Highland Park Conservancy.

Pete holds a BS in Architecture from New York Institute of Technology.

Anthony Meleo

Appointed June 14, 2016

Anthony N Meleo is currently working with CWD Boces 2 Adult Education and is a General Managing Partner of Meleo Associates, a real estate holding LLC. He has devoted most of his career to real estate, land development and the construction industries. Anthony Meleo has served as President and Vice President of various companies.

Anthony is currently on the Board of Directors for The Italian Heritage Foundation in support of educational scholarships for underserved populations.

He has a BS degree from Niagara University in Transportation Management.

Gary Collins

Appointed July 12, 2016

Gary Collins is currently working with Mirror Show Management in Webster, NY as the Director Of Operations. He has been with Mirror Show for over 12 years. Mirror Show was ranked #1 as Rochester’s Top 100 companies last year.

Gary has over 20 years of experience in Operations and Procurement

He has previously served as the Chairman of the Trustees for a local church.

He has a BS degree from the University of Central Florida in Business Administration

Troy Milne

Appointed May 9, 2017

Jeffrey Adair, Executive Director

As Monroe County’s Chief Economic Development Officer, Jeff Adair is the Director of the Monroe County Department of Planning & Development, the Executive Director of Imagine Monroe, the County’s Industrial Development Agency, as well as Executive Director of the Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation.  Prior to his September 2016 appointment, Jeff spent over 30 years in the food industry beginning his career as a delivery person for a regional bakery and retiring from the world’s largest baking company as a Director of Sales.  Throughout his career at Bimbo, Jeff was responsible for sales and distribution throughout the northeastern United States.  Jeff is well known for his executive leadership as he established strategies to increase company growth, managed both employees and independent operators and forged strong relationships with customers including Wegmans, Tops Markets, Walmart, and Olean Wholesale.

Jeff spent 20 years as a local elected official first serving as a Town Council member in the Town of Wheatland and ending his political tenure as President of the Monroe County Legislature.  The combination of Jeff’s private and public sector experience endows him with an invaluable understanding of the complex set of challenges businesses face.

Jeff was a member of the Monroe Community College Board of Trustees as well as the Genesee Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council and the Rochester-Monroe County Youth Board.  Jeff currently serves on the Greater Rochester Enterprise Board of Directors.
