CooperVision, Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of contact lenses operating in Monroe County since 1959. CooperVision relocated a call center operation from Albuquerque, NM and invested $500,000 to renovate and equip 36,000 square feet of additional office at 370 Woodcliff Drive.

Cryovac, Inc. constructed a 32,000 square foot addition to its existing 116,000 square foot plant in the Town of Gates. Cryovac, Inc. produces plastic packaging used primarily in the food industry. The cost of the addition is $4 million. In addition, Cryovac will be purchasing $12.5 million in new manufacturing equipment.

Sydor Optics, Inc. (SO) was established in 1964 to serve local customers, such as Eastman Kodak, for aerial reconnaissance optics. The company’s instrument subsidiary, Sydor Instruments, formed in 2004, manufactures high-speed diagnostic imaging systems for the photonics industry, and is the exclusive licensee of the patented ROSS camera technology developed at the University of Rochester Laboratory for Laser Energetics. Sydor has commercialized the product and is now selling the systems to US and European government agencies. This $2.9 Million project included the purchase and renovation of an existing 26,000 square foot building to consolidate the company’s three existing Monroe County locations.

ACM Medical Laboratory, Inc. is a full service medical laboratory located in Gates. ACM added 15,500 square feet to its existing 52,000 square foot facility on 3.3 acres to accommodate its expanding clinical trials laboratory services. The total project cost is $1.8 million. ACM employees 291 full time employees and 56 part-time.

Lewis Tree Service, founded in 1938 as Monroe Tree Surgeons, is employee-owned and provides vegetation management services to major utilities and municipalities throughout the eastern U.S. The company added a 20,000 square foot addition to its headquarters building in the Town of Henrietta to accommodate company growth. The project will cost $1,805,000.
